  1. Rendering huge pull requests in the GitHub Copilot app

GitHub rebuilt its Copilot app's pull request view to handle rendering pressure from huge diffs and comments, testing an open-source PR with 2,200 files, over 1 million changed lines and more than 400 inline comments. It separates document height into deterministic code geometry and dynamic block geometry: code line heights are computed precisely in advance, while comments and other dynamic blocks use bounded heights and deferred measurements, with corrections anchored to the user's current position.

  1. From Enablement to Execution, Egypt’s AI Ecosystem Reaches Production Scale

NVIDIA held an AI ecosystem event at the Grand Egyptian Museum, with Egyptian Deep Learning Institute participation growing over tenfold in a year. Hassan Allam received a data centre licence from Egypt's National Telecom Regulatory Authority and is developing a new centre with A15 with expected investment of $400 million. NVIDIA says four African AI factories have been announced or launched, with another 656 MW under construction.

  1. AI Security Is an Engineering Problem — How to Solve It at Every Layer of the Agent Stack

NVIDIA argues AI security should be treated as an engineering problem, with explicit requirements, executable controls, named owners and evidence of effective protection. Its open-source NVIDIA OpenShell enforces policies outside agent reasoning and provides sandboxed execution. Cisco DefenseClaw adds governance, while JFrog integrates OpenShell to scan and validate agent skills.

  2. llm-keys-ui 0.1

Simon Willison released llm-keys-ui 0.1 to configure API keys on remote machines. Running uvx --with llm-keys-ui llm keys-ui --all opens an interface to save keys over the local network or a Tailscale device IP, avoiding pasting secrets into ChatGPT or agent sessions.

  1. [AINews] not much happened today

Anthropic introduced Projects in Claude Code, allowing one conversation to spawn parallel cloud sessions, pass context between threads and keep running after users leave. Google updated the Antigravity-based harness for Gemini managed agents with Credentials API and Files API, claiming up to 30% lower costs and 22% higher cache-hit rates.

  1. From Megawatts to Tokens: How NVIDIA Maximizes AI Factory Production

NVIDIA introduced DSX at AI Infra Summit to improve AI-factory token throughput within a fixed power budget. Lambda validated DSX MaxLPS on a five-rack, 19-node HGX B200 cluster, running 19 nodes within the same budget as 16 at full power. Cluster token throughput rose 24%, from around four million to five million tokens per second, with performance per watt up 23%.

  1. Heart of the Matter: How a Major Children’s Hospital Uses Open Source NVIDIA AI for Cardiac Care

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) uses MONAI, the open-source medical imaging framework co-founded by NVIDIA, to reduce paediatric heart modelling from four hours to seconds, already supporting complex ventricular septal defect surgical planning. CHOP is working with NVIDIA to integrate Newton, an open-source physics engine based on NVIDIA Warp, into SlicerHeart, reducing cardiac-device simulation from up to four hours to near real time.

  1. Cloudera and Mistral Partner to Bring Specialized, Sovereign Intelligence to Enterprise Data

Mistral and Cloudera partnered to integrate Mistral models into Cloudera's hybrid data platform. Enterprises can run inference in private or public clouds, on-premises and fully air-gapped environments with full control. They can train custom models on proprietary data in controlled environments while retaining ownership of data and resulting intelligence. Cloudera runs 30 exabytes of customer-managed data.
