What the site does not collect
The site runs no visitor analytics, ads or third-party tracking code, and sets no cookies for visitors. Fonts are served from this site's own server, so opening a page sends no request to a font provider. The site's programs keep no log of individual visits; they record errors only, to find what went wrong.
Data in your browser
Saved articles, read marks, your language choice, how far you have read the changelog and feedback drafts stay in the browser you are using and are never sent to the server. Clearing the browser's data removes them, and they do not sync to other devices. You can export and import saved articles on the Saved page.
Feedback
When you send feedback on the feedback page, the server keeps: what you wrote, the email address if you gave one, the address of the page you were on and any screenshot you chose to attach. They are used only to handle that feedback; the email address only to reply to you.
To prevent abuse, the server also keeps one identifier. It is computed from your network address and browser type together with a server key; the address itself is not kept. The identifier is used only to limit how often feedback can be sent and to block abusive senders.
Feedback is not deleted automatically. You can ask on the feedback page at any time for your feedback to be deleted. Deletion removes what you wrote, the email address, the page address and the screenshot file; the time it was sent, the anti-abuse identifier and a record of the deletion remain.
Processing by models
The site sends articles from public sources to a large language model service to write titles, summaries and scores in three languages. Your feedback, email address and browser data are never sent to the model service.
Servers and hosting
The site runs on a cloud server; its reverse proxy keeps no access logs. The hosting provider may handle network-level data under its own rules, which are outside this site's control.
Third-party content
The site shows summaries of and links to third-party originals. Images on its pages are fetched by this site's server, so opening a page does not make your browser contact the source's site. Following a link to an original takes you to that site, whose own privacy policy applies.
Access and deletion
To see or delete feedback you have sent, write on the feedback page roughly when you sent it and what it said.
