On 23 October 2026, The Verge reported that Discord released an update: uploaded Markdown (.md) files now render tables and formatting correctly instead of showing raw symbols, making it easier to share AI project descriptions and READMEs on the platform. The same update adds a right-click sidebar icon with a "Move to…" option for organising servers and channels, and raises the Nitro member upload limit to 1GB. These features are now live with the update.
