Bezos and Statham hair transplant photos debunked
What happened
On 4 November 2026, The Verge reported that "after hair transplant" photos of Bezos and Jason Statham circulating on X, Threads, Bluesky and other social platforms are in fact edited or AI-faked. The outlet found the originals through Google reverse image search: the Bezos photo was taken in 2023 and the Statham photo in 2011, and neither man has hair in the originals. The report also noted that no Content Credentials or SynthID marks were detected in the circulating images, so it cannot yet be confirmed whether they were generated with AI tools. The photos have now been debunked, but the exact method of fakery remains undetermined.
